9. Danfoss India, Climate and energy efficiency solutions company has been conferred with the ‘Golden Peacock Award’ for Environment Management.

10. Atthaya Thitikul, From Thiland, has won the Ladies European Tour.

11. Valtteri Bottas won the Austrian Grand Prix

12. Asian Athletics Championships. India has topped the medal tally. 29 medals which included 12 gold, 5 silver, and 12 bronze.

13. Swayam, Swayam Prabha and National Academic Depository - digital initiatives - to push e-education in the country – launched by President Pranab Mukherjee.

14. Japan “Okinoshima” has been declared a UNESCO world heritage site.
