1. The Madras High Court has issued an order making the national song ‘Vande Mataram’ compulsory in schools, colleges and Government offices in Tamil Nadu.

2. “Aarambh” Mobile App launched by Shri Narendra Singh Tomar - Union Minister for Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, Drinking Water & Sanitation and Ms. Deborah Greenfield - Deputy Director General (Policy) of International Labour Organization. This app is used for Road Maintenance.

3. Reliance Defence and Engineering Limited has announced launch of its first two Naval Offshore Patrol Vessels at their shipyard in Gujarat.

4. Airports Authority of India (AAI), has signed an MoU with Government of Uttarakhand and joined hands with Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA).

5. Uttar Pradesh Power Minister Srikant Sharma launched free power connection scheme for the BPL card holders in the state.

6. The UN has selected Dubai as the data hub for the Middle East North Africa and South Asia (MENASA) region for the city’s integrated initiatives to mine and manage its data.

9. Food Safety & Standards Authority of India FSSAAI has banned use of stapler pins in tea bags effective Jan 1, 2018.

10. World Youth Champion Sachin Siwach clinched a gold medal at the Commonwealth Youth Games.

11. Indian weightlifter Konsam Ormila Devi has bagged a gold medal at the Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships in Kathmandu, Nepal.

12. Professor Yash Pal died in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. He was scientist, administrator and popular science communicator.
