1. Finance ministry has removed additional excise duty on tobacco, pan masala and cigarettes with effect from July 1.

2. The Centre and Asian Development Bank (ADB) has signed a 220 million dollar loan for improving connectivity as well as transport efficiency and safety on State Highways of Rajasthan.

3. Swayam Shikshan Prayog, Pune based NGO has been awarded UNDP’s Equator Prize for devising an ecologically sustainable agriculture model to combat the adverse impacts of drought.
