- Axis Bank has launched an instant international payment services using RippleNet (Ripple’s enterprise blockchain technology solution). This facility is currently available for Axis Bank’s retail customers in India to receive payments from the UAE-based Rak Bank.
- The Government of India will assist Mauritius to develop and set up digital locker services. DigiLocker is a key initiative of the Indian government under its flagship Digital India program.

- The United Nations General Assembly has designated November 25 as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The premise of the day is to raise awareness of the fact that women around the world are subject to rape, domestic violence etc.
- President Ram Nath Kovind has cleared an ordinance amending the Indian Forest Act, 1927. The ordinance omits bamboo grown in non-forest areas from the definition of trees, thereby exempting it from requiring permits for felling or transportation.
- Radha Mohan Singh, Union Agriculture Minister has sent a proposal to United Nations for declaring 2018 as "International Year of Millets" to raise awareness among consumers, policy makers, industry and research sector.
- “Smart Banking 24X7” e-lobbies launched by Kotak Mahindra Bank in Mumbai. “Smart Banking 24×7” e-Lobbies gives customers the freedom to complete banking transactions at any hour of the day as per their convenience.
- ‘Ayodhya Mahotsav’, would be held in Seoul and Gimhe cities of South Korea while ‘Korea Festival’ will be held in Lucknow and Ayodhya.
- Foreign direct investment (FDI) in the country increased by 17 % to USD 25.35 billion during April-September fiscal (2017-18).
- O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) has been ranked among the Top 10 Private education Institutions in India in ‘QS University Rankings: BRICS 2018’.
- Actor Rajkummar Rao was adjudged the best actor at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards for his performance in Newton, which also won the best screenplay award.
- Defence of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Exercise (DANX) was conducted under the aegis of Andaman & Nicobar Command.
