- Fitch Ratings has reduced the GDP growth forecast of India for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2018, to 6.7% from 6.9%.
- Mohamad Al Jounde from Syria has been awarded the International Children’s Peace Prize for his efforts to ensure rights of Syrian refugee children.

- The Fifteenth Finance Commission held its first meeting at North Block in New Delhi under the Chairmanship of Shri N.K. Singh and was attended by all the other Members of the Commission.
- Paytm Payments Bank is rolling out Paytm FASTag across the India, with the govt mandating the use of FASTag on every new vehicle sold from Dec 1. The FASTags allow vehicles to pass through 380 toll plazas across India covering 55,000 km without having to stop. Each Paytm FASTtag is linked to a registered Paytm account to facilitate instant automatic deduction of toll charges.
- Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Board of Directors has approved debt financing and partial risk guarantees totaling $583 million to develop the Reliance Bangladesh Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Power Project.
- The book, titled 'Bollywood: The Films! The Songs! The Stars!', is a coffee table book, co-authored by S.M.M. Ausaja, Karan Bali, Rajesh Devraj and Tanul Thakur, launched by Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan.
- Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has announced the creation of a new virtual currency named 'Petro' in a bid to ease the country's economic crisis.
- UAE Armed Forces along with the UK, US and French armies are participating in joint exercises in Abu Dhabi. The drill code is named as “Flag4”.
- UAE has announced that it has formed a new economic & partnership group with Saudi Arabia, separate from Gulf Cooperation Council.
- Google has launched a new feature to its Maps application specially, for Indian users called, the Motorcycle Mode.
- First direct investment in an Indian startup, Google has invested Rs 65 cr in Dunzo, a hyper local concierge & delivery firm.
- Google is going to expand its Internet Saathi programme, run in partnership with Tata Trusts, to create digitally enabled livelihood opportunities for women. The programme aims to facilitate digital literacy among women in rural India.
- The US Supreme Court has allowed Donald Trump’s travel ban to take full effect pending appeal, for people coming from six Muslim-majority countries.
