Hello Friends,
Here is the Daily Vocabulary. In this post you can get ten words with its meaning in English, Hindi and Gujarati language. You can also get image with each word that shows its meaning so that you can easily understand the word and remember it with that given image. You can also get one Sentence using the given word. Learn the word and make your own sentences on the basis of the given word and its image. As all of you know that vocabulary is an important to learn and understand English subject for any competitive exams so this will helpful for you to deal with all kinds of questions in exams.


 





1. Realm
a field or domain of activity or interest.
क्षेत्र, राज्य, देश, प्रदेश
ક્ષેત્ર, રાજ્ય, વિસ્તાર
The realm of applied chemistry.


2. Obeisance
a gesture expressing deferential respect, such as a bow or curtsy.
श्रद्धा, आदर, सम्मान, प्रणाम
મૌન, પ્રણામ, નમસ્કાર
She made a deep obeisance.


3. Aversion
a strong dislike or disinclination.
घृणा, द्वेष, विरोध, विमुखता
અણગમો, ઘૃણા, અભાવ
They made plain their aversion to the use of force.


4. Expatriate
a person who lives outside their native country.
प्रवासी, निर्वासित करना, देश-निकाला देना, देश-त्यागी
વસાહતી, દેશનિકાલ કરાયેલ વ્યક્તિ, દેશત્યાગ કરનાર વ્યક્તિ
American expatriates in London.


5. Avalanche
a mass of snow, ice, and rocks falling rapidly down a mountainside.
हिमस्खलन, बरफ़, पहाड़ से गिरता हुआ बर्फ का ढेर
હિમપ્રપાત, હિમપ્રપાત કે સંપાત, બરફ, માટી, હિમનો ઘસી પડતો જથ્થો
He was swept to his death by an avalanche in 1988.


6. Dwindle (ડ્વિન્ડલ)
diminish gradually in size, amount, or strength.
सूखना, क्षीण होना, कम हो चलना
સંકોચાવું, ઘટતું જવું, ક્ષીણ થવું
Traffic has dwindled to a trickle.


7. Nexus
a connection or series of connections linking two or more things.
बंधन, संबंध, मेल-जोल, कड़ी
સંબંધ, જોડાણ, સાંકળ
The nexus between industry and political power.


8. Apocryphal (ઍપોક્રિફલ)
(of a story or statement) of doubtful authenticity, although widely circulated as being true.
शंकायुक्त, झूठा, असत्य, अप्रामाणिक
શંકાસ્પદ, સંદિગ્ધ પ્રમાણવાળું, શાસ્ત્રાધારવિહોણું
An apocryphal story about a former president.



9. Propitiate
win or regain the favour of (a god, spirit, or person) by doing something that pleases them.
संतुष्ट करना, शांत करना, धीमा करना, शमन करना
પ્રસ્તાવ, રીઝવવું, પ્રસન્ન કરવું
The pagans thought it was important to propitiate the gods with sacrifices.



10. Retrieve
get or bring (something) back from somewhere.
पुनः प्राप्त, भूल सुधारना, पुनःप्रतिष्ठापन करना
પુનઃપ્રાપ્ત કરો, સુધારો કરવો, દુરસ્ત કરવું
I was sent to retrieve the balls from his garden.
