Daily Vocabulary | Post No 12

Hello Friends,
Here is the Daily Vocabulary. In this post you can get ten words with its meaning in English, Hindi and Gujarati language. You can also get image with each word that shows its meaning so that you can easily understand the word and remember it with that given image. You can also get one Sentence using the given word. Learn the word and make your own sentences on the basis of the given word and its image. As all of you know that vocabulary is an important to learn and understand English subject for any competitive exams so this will helpful for you to deal with all kinds of questions in exams.







1. Sturdy
(of a person or their body) strongly and solidly built.
तगड़ा , अंगवाला , मज़बूत , दबंग
વજનદાર, કસાયેલું શરીર
He had a sturdy, muscular physique.


2. Captive (કેપ્ટિવ)
a person who has been taken prisoner or an animal that has been confined.
बंदी, क़ैदी, दास

The policeman put a pair of handcuffs on the captive.


3. Pious
devoutly religious.
पवित्र , धार्मिक , भक्त
પવિત્ર , ધર્મનિષ્ઠ , ઈશ્વર પ્રતિ ભક્તિભાવવાળું
A deeply pious woman.


4. Esoteric
intended for or likely to be understood by only a small number of people with a specialized knowledge or interest.
गुप्त , गूढ़
વિશિષ્ટ , ગુપ્ત , ખાનગી
Esoteric philosophical debates.


5. Cramp (ક્રેમ્પ)
painful involuntary contraction of a muscle or muscles, typically caused by fatigue or strain.
तनाव
ટાઢ ¸ પ્રતિબંધ , સ્નાયુસંકોચન
An attack of cramp.


6. Sulk
be silent, morose, and bad-tempered out of annoyance or disappointment.
मचलना , उदास होना , बदमिज़ाज होना , रूठ जाना

He was sulking over the break-up of his band.


7. Fist
a person's hand when the fingers are bent in towards the palm and held there tightly, typically in order to strike a blow or grasp something.

8. Melee
a confused fight or scuffle.

9. Scion (સ્કિયોન)
a young shoot or twig of a plant, especially one cut for grafting or rooting.

10. Tyrant
a cruel and oppressive ruler.
