Hello Friends,

Here is the Daily Vocabulary. In this post you can get ten words with its meaning in English, Hindi and Gujarati language. You can also get image with each word that shows its meaning so that you can easily understand the word and remember it with that given image. You can also get one Sentence using the given word. Learn the word and make your own sentences on the basis of the given word and its image. As all of you know that vocabulary is an important to learn and understand English subject for any competitive exams so this will helpful for you to deal with all kinds of questions in exams.

1. Attentive

paying close attention to something.

सचेत , चौकस , शिष्ट

સચેત , વિનયી , સાવધાન

2. Brandish (બ્રાન્ડીશ)

wave or flourish (something, especially a weapon) as a threat or in anger or excitement.

धमकी देना , लपलपाना , फिराना

3. Contortion

a twisted position.

4. Disdain

the feeling that someone or something is unworthy of one's consideration or respect.

तिरस्कार , घृणा , घृष्टता

અણગમો , ધિક્કાર , અભાવ

"Her upper lip curled in disdain"

5. Engross

absorb all the attention or interest of.

तल्लीन , सुलिपिकरण , सुलेखन

ઉત્સાહ , તલ્લીન કરવું , સમગ્ર ધ્યાન પરોવે તેમ કરવું

"They seemed to be engrossed in conversation"

6. Materialize

become actual fact; happen.

अमल में लाना , व्यवहार में लाना , भौतिक बनाना

ભૌતિક કરવું , સાકાર બનવું , સફળ થવું

"The forecast rate of increase did not materialize"

7. Narrate

give a spoken or written account of.

बयान करना , कह सुनाना , वर्णन करना

કમેન્ટ કરો , વર્ણવવું , વર્ણન કરવું

"The story is narrated by the heroine"

8. Obscure

not discovered or known about; uncertain.

अस्पष्ट , अंधेरा , अव्यक्त

અસ્પષ્ટ , દૂર્બોધ , કિલષ્ટ

"His origins and parentage are obscure"

9. Persistent

continuing firmly or obstinately in an opinion or course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition.

दृढ़ , हठी , आग्रही , सख़्त

નિરંતર , સતત , ખંતીલું

"One of the government's most persistent critics"

10. Quell

put an end to (a rebellion or other disorder), typically by the use of force.

वश में करना , शांत करना , कुचलना

ઝગડો , દબાવી દેવું , શાંત પાડવું

"Extra police were called to quell the disturbance"
