- The Karnataka government has partnered with Intel company Mobileye to launch a project for automotive safety called “Automotive Safety Innovation”.
- Central Government has given approval for setting up India’s first mega coastal economic zone at the Jawaharlal Nehru Port in Maharashtra.
- Maharashtra government announced ban on plastic bottles.
- Madhya Pradesh is the partner state of Manipur and Nagaland under ‘Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat’ Yojana.
- Punjab National Bank and Action Construction Equipment Ltd have tied up for augmenting tractors/agricultural implements financing to the farmers across India.
- Reliance General Insurance has signed a comprehensive bancassurance-corporate agency agreement with YES Bank. This is the first partnership signed by YES Bank since the open-architecture norms under the corporate agency regulations were introduced by the IRDAI in April 2016.
- Deputy CM of Delhi Manish Sisodia said that, the Delhi would form “Mahila Suraksha Dals” to curb crimes against women in the national capital. The government would constitute these teams in coordination with the Delhi Commission for Women.
- Private sector RBL Bank inaugurated an all women branch in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The all-women branch in Chennai will be managed by eight women and will offer all products and services across liability and assets. This initiative is RBL Bank’s efforts in encouraging gender equality.
- A seminar on ‘Cyber Security in the Context of Indian Navy’ was held on 17 November 2017 at Dr. DS Kothari Auditorium, DRDO Bhawan, New Delhi. It was conducted by Directorate of Information Warfare, Integrated Headquarters Ministry of Defence (Navy).
- Moody’s Investors Service (“Moody’s”) has upgraded the Government of India’s local and foreign currency issuer ratings to Baa2 from Baa3 and changed the outlook on the rating to stable from positive.
- Book ‘Journey of Women Law Reforms and The Law Commission of India – Some Insights’ launched by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu. It is written by former Joint Secretary, Dr. Pavan Sharma.
- Paytm has entered into a tie-up with ICICI Bank to jointly launch ‘Paytm-ICICI Bank Postpaid’, that offers short-term credit to their common customers.
- Anand Rajeshwar Baiwar has taken charge as an executive director at SEBI. SEBI stand for Security and Exchange Board of India.
- Chakravarthi AVPS, Managing Director, Ecobliss India, has been appointed as global ambassador of the World Packaging Organisation (WPO).
- FIM Asia Cup of Road Racing (ACRR) will be held at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida, India.
- 12th Biennial International Conference & Exposition of Society of Petroleum Geophysicists India was held at Jaipur.
- India’s Manushi Chhillar on Saturday won the coveted Miss World 2017 crown at a grand event in China.
- Wrestler Sandeep Tulsi has been handed a four-year ban by the Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel of the NADA. He is from Sonepat.
- Geeta Phogat won a gold medal in the 59 kg category of women’s wrestling & her husband Pawan Kumar also finished on top in 86 kg category.
- Sushil Kumar won a gold medal in men’s 74 kg freestyle competition.
- Sakshi Malik won gold medal in the 62 kg category.
