  1. Today on 30th November 2017 One rupee note turns 100. The first one rupee note was printed in India on November 30, 1917, with the photo of King George V.
  2. Mirabai Chanu became the first Indian in to claim a gold medal at the World Weightlifting Championship in Anaheim, USA.
  3. Snehlata Shrivastava, a 1982-batch retired IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as the first woman Secretary General of the Lok Sabha.
  4. Victoria became the first Australian state to legalize assisted dying or euthanasia.
  5. West Bengal State Transport Minister Suvendu Adhikari has mentioned that the state government has negotiated with the World Bank to avail subsidy to buy 130 electric buses.
  6. Central Government has sanctioned Rs 275 crore for establishing a Global Centre for Security and Counter-Terrorism in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
  7. Robin Campillo’s French film 120 Beats Per Minute, won the prestigious Golden Peacock award for best film at the controversy-ridden 48th International Film Festival of India.
  8. The Boxing Federation of India (BFI) was recognized as a national body by the Indian Olympic Association, which removed the terminated Indian Amateur Boxing Federation (IABF) as its affiliate after months of indecision.
  9. Karnataka Bank Ltd has partnered with the Boston Consulting Group (India) Pvt Ltd for its transformation initiatives and the transformation project ‘KBL Vikaas’. It is aimed at total transformation of the bank by re-positioning it as a relevant and significant bank by focusing on technology and by keeping intact its core values and identity. The project was launched in Mangaluru.
  10. Badri Narain Sharma, a Rajasthan cadre IAS officer of 1985 batch, has been appointed the first chairman of the National Anti-profiteering Authority. This body was set up under the goods and services tax to ensure that the benefits of lower taxes under the new regime are shared with consumers.
  11. SAUBHAGYA Scheme Launched in Manipur. SAUBHAGYA stand for Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana. The has been launched by Union Minister of State (IC) for Power and New & Renewable Energy,  R.K. Singh and N. Biren Singh, Chief Minister of Manipur.
  12. Logo and mascot of Hockey World Cup 2018 have been unveiled at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Odisha had successfully hosted the Asian Athletics Championships recently.
  13. Odisha government has released about 365 crore rupees for the rain-hit farmers in 19 districts of the State. The fund was released from the State Disaster Relief Fund to be distributed as agriculture input subsidy among farmers who sustained crop loss due to unseasonal rain during the third week of this month (November).
  14. The Union Health Ministry and the Indian Council of Medical Research have launched the India Hypertension Management Initiative. It was aimed at reducing disability and death related to cardiovascular diseases. The IHMI is focused on five essential components of scalable treatment of hypertension.
