1.) The 23rd Olympic Winter Games officially kicked off with a colourful ceremony at Pyeongchang in South Korea
2.) The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will start a pilot project called “pay as you use” on the Delhi-Mumbai Highway.
3.) National Informatics Centre (NIC) has organized a three-day National Meet on Grassroot Informatics- VIVID 2018 at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The Theme for VIVID 2018 is “Cyber Security and Innovation”.
4.) The government has directed the banks to only accept online applications for education loans in a bid to make the loan disbursement process transparent and efficient.

6.) National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) appointed Biswamohan Mahapatra as non-executive chairman for two years with immediate effect.
7.) Justice Abhilasha Kumari is the first woman to become the chief justice of the Manipur high court.
