7.) The largest floating treatment wetland having plants as cleaning agents was inaugurated on Nekampur lake, Hyderabad.
8.) Inland waterways authority and Dept. Of Economic affairs signed agreement with world bank for Jal Marg Vikas project on Ganga. The project will increase the navigation capacity of commercial vessels on National Waterway 1 (River Ganga) From Varanasi to Haldia.
9.) John Hennessy appointed Alphabet Inc. New Board Chairman. Alphabet Inc. is the parent company of Google.
10.) Shabnam Asthana was awarded the 'Times Power Women of the Year 2017'.
11.) Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF) committee has decided to bestow V. Shantaram lifetime achievement Award to veteran film producer and director Shyam Benegal. The award will be presented at concluding ceremony of MIFF in Mumbai.
