IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personal Selection and PO stands for Probationary Officers. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, popularly known as IBPS is an autonomous body. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and also a Public Trust under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. It is created to render assistance to organisations in the areas of personnel such as recruitment, selection, placement, by designing, and developing suitable measurement tests/tools, assessment of answer responses and processing results of examinations, and conducts such examination related services, on request. Institute is an ‘Associate Member’ of the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA). SNDT Women’s University has extended its affiliation to IBPS to conduct its Ph.D. programme in Management Sciences. Some Sr.Professors/Divisional Heads of the institute are recognised Guides for Ph.D. programme of the university.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
PHASE III: INTERVIEW
Total Marks 100
Minimum qualifying
marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD
candidates).
MAINS EXAM: INTERVIEW
= 80:20.

candidate should qualify both in the
Main
Examination and interview
and be
sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent
provisional allotment process.
